چکیده
Background: Since it is not always possible clinically and radiographically to predict the development of meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS) in infants born with meconium-stained amniotic fluid, there a need for biomarkers that may MAS these infants. Methods: The study was planned Ankara Zekai Tahir Burak Gynecology Hospital. Among term (>37 gestational weeks) from mothers who had Meconium-Stained Amniotic Fluid (MSAF), files 60 patients met criteria inclusion were retrospectively reviewed between January 2014 May 2014. Results: There no statistically significant difference characteristic features developed did develop MAS. Of acute phase reactants, CRP, leukocyte count, platelet thetotal neutrophil count show both groups. We found IL-6 significantly higher cut-off value 51 62% sensitivity 96% specificity. Morbidities such as pneumothorax persistent pulmonary hypertension observed more frequently newborns required longer mechanical ventilation, surfactant therapy, nasal CPAP support, inotropic free oxygen therapy. Conclusions: interleukin 6 good marker predicting syndrome. believe this biomarker can be very useful when assessed clinical radiographic findings.

The Comparison of Maternal Endometritis in Meconium – Stained Amniotic Fluid and Clear Amniotic Fluid
Introduction: Metritis is one of the causes of maternal morbidity and there are many risk factors for it. Because of the importance of possible association of meconium-stained amniotic fluid and maternal metritis the present study was done to determine whether meconium stained amniotic fluid (MSAF) is associated with puerperal infection. Methods: In this case-control study 150 women with MSAF a...

Plasma endothelin 1 concentrations were determined in infants with meconium stained amniotic fluid. Plasma endothelin 1 concentration in the study group (5.23 pg/ml) was statistically higher than that in the control group (1.12 pg/ml). Cord blood pH and base excess values were significantly lower in infants with meconium stained amniotic fluid when compared with the control group. There was no ...
